Filters for Staplex Model TFIA, TFIA-2, TFIA-4 High Volume Air Samplers
TYPE FILTERS : TFAGF810 "8 x 10" QTY 1 BOX 100 LEMBAR
FLOW RATE, (approx). : 15-20 cfm
.4-.6 cmm
CHARACTERISTICS :
Very high retention of fine particles. 99.97% retention efficiency of .3 micron particles. Recommended wherever gravimetric weighing ananlysis is used because of non-hydroscopic properties. Sampler may be operated for approximately 1 hour without overheating. Also see data on Glass Fiber Filters below.
NOTES: cfm = cubic feet per minute; cmm = cubic meters per minute (35 cfm = 1 cmm)
GLASS FIBER FILTER DATA
Glass Fiber Filters are especially recommended wherever gravimetric weighing analysis may be required because of their non-hygroscopic properties, i.e. they will maintain constant weight under wide-ranging conditions of ambient humidity. Their excellent loading characteristics make them ideal for routine air monitoring and for specialized monitoring of solid pollutants, microrganisms, oil and acid smokes etc. They are particularly recommended where higher efficiency collection of fine particles is required. They exhibit higher particle capacity then cellulose filters. Their fine optical characteristics make them ideal for sensitive and accurate measurement of collected smoke particle. Used especially for on-the-spot visual examination and instrumentation. Glass Fiber Filters have a higher density then paper filters and can tolerate a far wide useful temperature range.
Composition of the Glass Fiber Filter is of such a nature that the finely woven texture of microfilaments of glass creates the highest sampling efficiency. The efficiency of the Glass Fiber Filters at the relative flow rate for particles as small as .3 micron is 99.98%.
Staplex Glass Fiber Filters are binderless (i.e. they do not contain organic binders). The heat resistance is up to approximately 470-490 degrees C.
