Description

Air Flow Adjustment: Use Staplex Model FA-1 series to adjust flow rate of Staplex® High Volume Air Samplers. For any filter, Flow Adjuster can reduce the flow rate from full flow rate to desired sampling rate. Flow rate is read from the flow meter on the High Volume Air Sampler.

Minimum airflow is approximately 1.0 cubic feet per minute (0.3 cubic meters per minute).

Brush Seating: Air Sampler motor brushes should be changed after every 800-1,000 hours of usage. Brushes should be checked for wear occasionally, especially before long sampling periods. To achieve best performance from Staplex® High Volume Air Samplers when changing motor brushes, use Model FA- 1 series to seat new brushes on the armature before full voltage is applied. After brush change, set knob on FA-1 series Flow Adjuster/Brush Seater to 7 and run air sampler for 30 minutes to accomplish this seating. The sampler will return to full performance after an additional 30 to 40 minutes running at full voltage. Direct application of full voltage after changing brushes will cause arcing, armature pitting and reduce overall life of the Air Sampler.

Made in U.S.A. Specifications subject to change without notice or obligation.
